Definition of Term: State Vector
================================

The state vector of a :ref:`dynamic<DefDynamic>`
:ref:`simulator<DefSimulator>` comprises a description of the state
of the real-world process being modelled by the simulator at any given
time point.

*Example:* A simple simulator of the passage of a drug through a
person's body will represent the body as a set of compartments, and its
state vector will specify the quantity of the drug in each compartment
at a given time point.
